Artist Statement

While producing my works I often pause to realize that I am creating art that shows elements of myself that I may or may have not entirely conceptualized yet. Sometimes I pull inspiration from my childhood and the pop artists work I grew up around; While other times it is coming from my interests in architecture, design, and fashion. Typography, hierarchy, line, shape, and more, are essential design details in the work, helping me to begin expressing characteristics of myself. Many of these elements are important qualities in my declared concentrations, Graphic Design and Photography. While my pieces may leave the naked eye puzzled, I hope they invoke a feeling in which the viewer may develop their own relationship with the art.
